Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the differences between Champion Mixes and Contender Mixes?
   The main difference is that Champion Mixes are custom created exclusively for you, and Contender Mixes are mixes curated by me to work for a broad range of different types of classes.  If you order Champion Mixes, I will work with you in crafting the unique sound character of your brand, creating mixes that best support your class formats.  If you order Contender Mixes, you get curated mixes of new hits and old favorites in a consistent, high-energy format at a great price point. 2. Can I listen to sample mixes?
   Absolutely! All you need to do is email me and tell me you'd like a sample!  Out of an abundance of caution and respect towards copyright law, I do not post mixes for the public to listen and download.
3. How many mixes do people usually order?
   The most popular approach with my clients is to order two or three mixes per month for each of their major class formats.  That way, you have a few great options that compliment the style of each class, and your instructors won’t get tired of listening to the same mix all month.
4. How many mixes can I order?
   You can order as many custom mixes as you’d like, but at this time you can only order up to 2 of the Contender mixes per month.  You are welcome to order some of both types of mixes.
5. Can I get mixes weekly instead of monthly?
   Yes! Just contact me and we can work out the details.  
6. How do I request that songs be included in Champion Mixes?
   There are several options: frequently, the easiest way is just to gather song requests from your instructors and staff each month, and send me an email a couple weeks before your new mixes are due to arrive.  I can also set up an online form where instructors can submit song requests directly to me!
7. Are there any limits to what music can be included in these mixes?
   Unlike many other fitness music services, I can include any song or remix that is legally purchasable within the United States!  Over the past few years, I’ve been very successful at incorporating requested songs and official remixes, so you can request any song, artist, or genre you like!
8. Can I request changes on Champion Mixes after they've been delivered?  
   Yes!  If there’s a song you’d rather not hear or your instructors find hard to move to, I can swap out or change the offending song at no additional charge.  Just get in touch with me and you’ll have a corrected mix in your inbox within a few days!
9. Can I get physical CDs instead of digitally delivered MP3s?  
   Yes! I can ship you a CD for $5 per CD plus the cost of Shipping. I ship from Chicago.
10. Can I get shorter mixes?
    Yes! The prices above reflect mixes up to an hour in length, but I can do shorter custom mixes as well.  Just contact me and we can figure out a solution that fits your needs!
11. Do I have to pay Performing Rights Organizations (ie ASCAP, BMI, SESAC) to play your mixes in my gym?
    Yes, but you’ll pay the same fee whether you use my mixes, the radio, or any other music source. Using my mixes won’t cost you anything more in fees!
12. Are you selling me music?
    No, but I will be purchasing music exclusively for you.  Before I start sending you mixes, you have to give me permission to purchase music for you.  That way, when I prepare and send you these mixes, I’m not selling you music; I’m giving you music that I’ve already purchased just for you! Our competitive pricing includes both the cost of preparing the mixes and purchasing new music for you.
